Welcome to the Amazing World of Science!
I have been teaching for over 30 years in various grade levels and science subjects. I got my undergraduate degree at UB and my Master's degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. I grew up in the Dallas area and taught physics and astronomy for 16 years there. I spent 10 years teaching teachers as a part of a national program in which I was based in Berkeley, CA and then began teaching college in the Seattle area. Since my husband was born and raised in the Town of Tonawanda, it was an easy choice to come back to be with our daughter and her family as well as his very large extended family.
I am a self-proclaimed and proud science geek and love all areas of science. I believe in learning by doing and also believe that students do better when they are excited about science. I try to keep things fun, interesting, and relevant to their lives. Your children will be "doing" science as often as possible. That means lots of labs, activities and hands on learning.
I am so excited to be here at Queen of Heaven where I can share my love of science and love of God with your children. I am truly blessed that my travels have led me here.
